New Office at Trades Hall

I'm excited to announce that Transducer Audio has an office at Trades Hall! Folks are most welcome to stop by, say hello and have a cup of tea.

It feels big having an office at Trades Hall. I had this moment when I was moving in where I looked out to see the decorative finials with the city skyscrapers beyond and I imagined what my Dad would say: "whackadoo!". He was a lifelong member of the Queensland Teachers' Union and as a kid he'd bring me along to meetings, where they'd give me a pen and paper to draw with until the pizza came. Even though I was a kid Dad respected me enough to tell me what was going on in those meetings and then when I became an adult he mentored me through my political life. He was behind-the-scenes for the beginning of Podcast Workers Australia, which you should check out if you're a podcaster looking for community, and looking to build a fairer podcasting industry.

My hope is that the new office will help Transducer Audio get amongst Melbourne's political and cultural life and do the work that we always do: telling stories, building community, creating change.
