Dear fellow podcasters,

Few things delight me more than a tech book that's been written by an NBS (Natural Born Storyteller), who also has a talent for cartoons.

I related deeply to a lot of things Corey wrote, including: 'When I started making recordings, it felt like the time I spent editing could be measured on a geological timescale. Children grew, then went on to have children of their own.' (page 77) This pretty much describes how I spent 2025, gaining 5kg in the process!

One of the stated aims of Corey Marie Green's book is to demystify audio recording, so that non-technical people can reduce our time in post-production - and in this aim, the author has succeeded.

I spent last weekend in the company of The Podcaster's Audio Handbook, and found it to be:

simple effective accessible inclusive readable and invaluable.

As a reference book, it is an excellent investment and will save me a lot of time, trouble and money.

There's heaps of white space on each page, which has made it easy for me to navigate with my neurological issues.

This book has the potential to transform a podcast from black and white to colour - or from colour to black and white if that's what you prefer! The point is, I believe it will help podcasters gain more control over what we're doing, and that's why I'm recommending it here. Helpful photos are included, as well as audio examples throughout, which are easy to access over the internet.

I learned a lot, wrote 29 pages of notes, changed my vision of what I want to achieve, and will be relying on this book to guide me into the future. Five stars. Highly recommended.
