We were recording overdubs for “When Our Turn Comes“ today. The first person to teach me sound engineering, Florenz, stressed to me the importance of the musical performance in any recording. Florenz said that live performances can be a really great way to record a band. He takes effort to set the mood. For a jazz band he has brought in a few lamps to give the vibe of a moody nightclub.
