Podcasting is a powerful medium that can be used to share a story, start a discussion and build community. Join us to learn the practical skills of podcasting with an eye to community organising.

In this nine-part course we will explore both the creative and technical aspects of podcasting. Topics include:

* an overview of podcasting as a distinct medium, and what it has to offer community campaigns

* pre-production: you will be writing a plan for your podcast that takes into account your goals and your audience

* interview techniques

* research

* booking guests

* recording in a studio, at home, in the field and online

* structuring a story for the podcasting medium

* editing


This course is being taught by Corey Marie Green who is a podcast producer and audio engineer, and the author of The Podcaster's Audio Handbook.
